Zac is 6 months and eating solid foods

It is crazy how fast he is growing up!  We went to the doctor for his 6th month appointment and he is now 17 lbs 1 oz and 28 1/4 inches tall.  He is doing all the things a 6th month old should do.  He rolls from his back to belly and grabs for everything in sight.  You can no longer leave a plate or glass close to him.

It took a few times for Zac to get the hang of eating cereal.  He would just close his lips really tight and not let you in.  He would also giggle at the same time!  He thought it was so funny he could keep the food out.  After about a week of trying he started to enjoy his cereal.  We have now tried sweet potatoes, carrots, and peas.  He loves sweet potatoes, but could do without the peas and carrots.  He eats a few bites and then decides he has had enough of that. 

This is a picture of his first try at carrots.  He had more carrots on him than in his mouth.  He has to suck his fingers after each bite plus touch his eyes.  After a few bites he just grabs the spoon, pulls all the food off, and then just bites on the spoon to sooth his sore gums.
