Wow my little man, I have so much to share with you. You are now 13 weeks old.
April 6th was my birthday, and you and dad planned a small surprise party dinner for me. I thought just the three of us were going to dinner so I was in no hurry to get you ready and fed so I guess we were already late for dinner. Then just as we were leaving you had a very timely poop! I have never seen such patience with your dad as that moment.
On April 9th you had your 10 week check up and your first shots! You now weigh 10 lbs 8.5 oz and are 22.5 inches long. You had to get 4 shots! You were so good, you cried only as you got the shots and stopped as soon as I picked you up. As soon as you stopped crying, I started to cry. You were such a brave little guy. I asked your doctor when you can start eating and he said not for another 2 months! I am not sure I can wait that long!
The next week you and I went to Chicago for 10 days! You did so well on both plane rides. You were so good. We had a great time in Chicago. You had your first 8 hour stretch without a bottle! That only lasted one night, but you are getting better. You were held and fed by everyone. You now like to be held outward so you can see what is going on. You were walked around all day long by all your aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Your cousin Gabe was the first to hold you and immediately nicknamed you Zachy Wacky. Your cousin Lucas could not wait to share his binky collection with you. He loved to play with your belly button. Your grandma thinks you look like Casper the Ghost so we started to call you Boo Boo. You love it, it always makes you smile when I say it.
You are getting so big, I think you gained 1.5 lbs while in Chicago thanks to Aunt Terry's timely feedings. You are now wearing your 3-6 month clothes. You love to go outside with your dad and look at trees and flowers. You are really holding your head up. We had you in your Baby Bjorn outward for the first time. You don't like to stay in your stroller as long anymore, so our walks with Eileen and Oliver are getting complicated. This week I had to carry you both times in the Baby Bjorn because you were done with the stroller. You are starting to sleep much better and taking regular naps during the day. Oh! You missed out on your first taste of ice cream! Last night we went to 31 Flavors with Eileen, Jorgen, and Oliver for 31 cent scoops and you slept through the whole event. I was so ready to sneak you a taste!
You and I had some fun after bath time this week. Here are some fun pictures.
