Zac is 4 weeks old!

Wow Zac, I can't believe you are 4 weeks old! I remember wishing you would be 4 weeks old when we left the hospital because you were so small and I was nervous about taking care of such a little peanut. Now you are 6 lbs 13 oz and the time had gone by too fast. You are quickly growing out of your newborn clothes. Right now your long limbs are hitting the bottoms of the feet. You may never fill them out, but you won't be able to stretch your legs out all the way in another week. Your cheeks are filling out and you are looking more and more like I did when I was a baby. Of course you still need to put on some chub.

You are changing everyday! You were only home a few days before I saw my first smile. Grandma thinks you have an old soul because you giggle in your sleep. My favorite look is your owl face "whoooo" when you are stretching after a bottle. Last week you started to really focus on your toys that hang from the stroller. Your lion fell right next to you and you were staring at it frozen not sure what to do.

So far you hate the swing and the bouncy seat unless you are sleeping and don't know you are in it. You will sit in them for a minute with huge eyes, but then start to cry once the initial shock wears off. You love the stroller and it has become the living room bassinet for you during the day. We love to wheel you around from room to room. At dinner time we pull you up to the table to sit with us.

I have been getting out more and more while your dad is home with you. But after an hour I miss you so much I can't wait to get home and see how your afternoon has been. Right now you have colic. We have switched your formula twice now. We are hoping the soy formula will do the trick. You get so upset and crunch your legs in. It makes me so sad to see your tummy hurting. Plus your dad and I could use more than 45 minutes of sleep at a time. Everyone knows I don't do nights, and that I have a bed time of 10 PM. Little Zac, you have proven that I can stay up all night if I have too, but only for you.

Last Monday we had Dan take pictures of all of us. I have attached one of my favorite pictures of me snuggling you.

Happy 4 weeks Little Man. Can wait to see what 4 more weeks brings!
